Our Story
Glenorchy War Memorial Pool is located in Glenorchy. Our facility operates from October to March and consists of 50m Outdoor Pool, Splash Pool, Kiosk and Grandstand area.
Glenorchy War Memorial Pool was originally opened in the 1960s and has been a staple of the Glenorchy community ever since. With beautiful views of Mount Wellington, our pool is the perfect place for the community to get active or cool off throughout the warmer months.
Our facility has recently undergone a significant redevelopment to better meet the needs of our community. The 50-metre outdoor pool now features a gradual ramp entry with handrails and is heated to a comfortable 26-28°C.
Additional upgrades include new change rooms, an improved grandstand, and a refurbished reception area. Together, these enhancements ensure that Glenorchy War Memorial Pool continues to be a cornerstone of the Glenorchy community.
We offer GOswim swimming lessons, Aqua Aerobics classes, kids’ birthday parties and a small kiosk, open seven days a week during the warmer months.

Our aquatic facilities feature our 50m outdoor heated pool with gradual railed entry and toddler pool for the little ones to enjoy.
Swimming Lessons
GOswim swimming and water safety lessons are a fun and engaging way for kids and adults to learn to swim and be safe in aquatic environments. Suitable for infants from 6 months of age through to adults and offered all season.
Aqua Aerobics
Aqua Aerobics classes offer a great way to stay fit without aggravation or risking injury. The resistance of water increases the intensity of your workout, helping to improve your strength, flexibility and overall health.
Kiosk
After building up an appetite in the pool, be sure to visit our Kiosk offering a range of healthy snacks, coffee and food options.
Accessibility
We aim to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for people of all abilities. Our facilities, programs and services have been designed to allow people of all abilities to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
